cheetahThis magical land stretches out as far as the eye can see. It's abundant wildlife makes this one of Africa's premier safari circuit destinations. The Mara River provides a permanent water source assuring an ideal habitat for a wide range of animals. The great migration between July and October brings millions of migrant herbivores which share this area with gazelle, topi, impala, cape buffalo, elephant, giraffe and hippos which live here year round. As many as 450 species of birds including 54 raptures have been documented in this area. With such a large number of hoofed animals, there is always food available to for resident cheetahs, lions and leopards. Some of the lion prides include as many as 30 cats! The Maasai people can be found living on the outskirts of the reserve, in much the same way they have for hundreds of years.
