If you want to see elephants, then you don't want to skip Tarangire National Park. Imagine looking out and seeing over 60 elephants all at one time from the vantage point of your special pop-top vehicle! And if you think the elephants are large, they still don't match up to the immense size of the Baobab trees which line the horizon. Tarangire has the highest recorded number of breeding bird species for any habitat in the world. Beautiful birds such as the saddle billed stork and the ground hornbill can easily be seen here. A rich variety of animals are drawn here year round by the Tarangire River which flows through the park, even through the dry season. |
